This alternator appears to be very well made. Both the finish and the dimensions appeared to be identical to the original. Included is a printed test sheet. That makes these the way to go. Rebuilt starters and alternators are generally very poor quality. I say this as a retired Japanese auto shop repair owner and operator for over 20 years. These are amazing.

Only problem: On my 2000 Maxima this was a difficult job. Be sure to drop the AC, letting it hang from the hoses (the wire won't be damaged). Then remove the bottom radiator hose for easy removal from the bottom. I was able to get the unit out with the hose in, but had so much trouble getting it back in that at one point I rested my hands only to have the thing suddenly drop onto my face 10 inches away. Those serpentine pulley are sharp and the unit is heavy. Shortcuts get you into trouble.
