If you have a leak from the pan area and it looks like it is just a gasket-don't waste your time or money just replacing the gasket. Over 90% of the time the pan has a very almost impossible to see hairline crack at the rt front corner of the pan and this is a known defect from the factory. You also must install the new pan with the transmission completely to prevent warping the new plastic pan. Ok I have my own independent BMW repair shop and have been a master BMW tech since 1987 so now that I have my own shop I have to search alternatives to OEM factory parts since many customers cannot afford the cost of the parts like this pan is over $325.00 at BMW dealer so when I found this I figured would give it a try and I have been very impressed with the quality. I have installed two of these so far and they look exactly like the factory BMW part and fits like a glove. I have used other brands like ARP and have been very upset with the low quality.
