I bought one of these last year. I had a little trouble getting the sensor and magnet aligned but after some experimenting I've got it working perfect. Like the other reviewer, I had trouble with my tach working correctly. I put the device on a '74 BMW R90/6. I had erratic readings at idle and the rpm's seemed too high overall at higher speeds. I tried different numbers of coils around the plug wire and direct connection to the coil. I ended up not using the tach. The display seems easily scratched. They don't sell a protector. I might cut some pda display protector and lay that on my display. It's a good device.
