The coil spring conversion is designed to be an alternative to replacing the expensive rear air ride components. This kit contains 2 rear coil spring assemblies that can be used to replace the 2 rear suspension airbag assemblies. We also carry a brand new set of rear or front shock absorbers and it is usually a good idea to replace the shocks at the same time for an optimum ride.

This was one of the best deals for the money! Everywhere I looked other parts dealers wanted double the price. But be weary of the instructions which came with these springs. They are not the best and do not show pictures. But don't fret; you can get how to videos online which show you much better step by step instructions on how to remove your old air bags and in what order to remove each and every bolt. If you can do a simple brake job, then you can do this change out. Just make sure you have the correct tools before you start. Half way into the job I realized I needed to rent a spring/strut compressor to get this unit into the small space. Also note that there are no markings on the spring itself showing you which way is up or down. On my 98 Expedition the small end of the spring attached to the top of the chassis. Just make sure you have the correct direction for your vehicle. The overall install took about 2 hours each side. This was due to not having the spring compressor and no markings on the springs themselves. Once I figured these two items out, the job went very smoothly and my 98 expedition has its original stance back.
