Richporter Technology DG29 Distributor Review

I installed this in a 2002 Sebring Coupe with the 3.0 liter V6.

The cap that comes with the DG29 seems generic, so I used the side connecting style cap I had purchased recently. The clearances between where the battery is installed and the cap are fairly tight on this model Sebring, but I'm sure the provided cap works for many other applications.

The DG29 slipped in without any issues, and the hardware that holds the cap on is much stronger than the original. The original screw phillips heads stripped out too easily, and there was not enough clearance to get a socket on the hex heads. The DG29 design however, provides enough room for a socket, and the hardware is a stronger grade. The sealing gasket is also better designed.

I highly recommend the Richporter DG29 to anyone that wants to save a ton of money but still have a quality part. There is no reason to shell out a huge core charge towards an overpriced rebuilt "big name" brand, when this brand spanking new unit can be dropped in for a lot less.
