I bought these Brake pads for my Chevy S-10 Pick up.

I wanted to replace the stock OEM pads with something that improved Chevy's sub-par braking performance. I have these pads on another vehicle and they performed excellent so I purchased a set for my truck.

Certain Chevy vehicles suffer from weak/spongy brakes. My S-10 suffered from this, so I decided to try and fix the problem. Chevy should have re-engineered their brakes years ago, but due to legacy issues, has been lax in redesigning.

I replaced the rotors with the pads, so I had a "clean slate" as they say.

The improvement was noticeable immediately. Braking improved substantially, and notably was more responsive. It definitely instilled confidence again that you WILL be able to stop when needed.

For those that have a GM vehicle, and want to improve their brakes, aside from upgrading the Brake pads and Rotors, My next step would be to replace the rubber Brake lines with Braided Stainless. I'm not interested in a show car, but the braided lines help keep the brake lines from expanding under pressure. thus minimizing the "spongy" pedal.

These pads also cut down on brake dust, so if you have nice rims, you won't need to clean them as often.

As I said before, I have these on another vehicle. I have 18,000 mile on the EBC's on that car, with NO appreciable wear. At this point, I would estimate these pads to last as least 40,000+ miles.

Slightly higher cost, but no more than other premium brakes. When your life may depend on your vehicle stopping in time, the extra $40-$50 is not worth compromising.
