The new EBC Yellowstuff compound is essentially a race pad but with a big difference in that it works from cold and can be safely used on the highway. If you want the ultimate in high friction braking this is the pad to choose. Brakes feel superb from first touch of the pedal and stay effective up to race temperatures. Maximum stopping is prime requirement and for short duration track use. Its dust rating is similar to OEM parts. All pads come with edge chamfers, center line slots, noise reduction shims and OEM hardware as needed. All EBC pads feature the EBC brake in surface coating which helps pads seat quickly after install.

These pads squeak after 1 month of normal city driving. The squeaky noise is came from one of the pad which have the black back plate (the brake shim) got loosen (The plate (shim) that EBC put on is supposed to reduce noise, not making noise by the way).

When brake is apply the vibration of the loosen plat (shim) cause the squeaky noise. To fix it, simply take off the black back plate (shim) from the pads and lube(I used Permatex 24125 Ceramic Extreme Brake Parts Lubricant) all the points where the pad and the piston, caliper contact, and that solved the squeaky noise problem for me.

I've used the EBC Redstuff and the OEM Audi pads before, the EBC Yellowstuff has noticeably more stopping power when comparing with these two, but the Yellowstuff will give you ton of brake dust on your wheels (That doesn't bothering me because I have black wheels).

I do not recommended use the yellowstuff pads on OEM or some cheap rotors, because the yellowstuff pads is bite harder and more aggressively on the rotor, those OEM and cheap rotors might cannot be handle the aggressiveness of the yellowstuff pads.

Over all this is a very good pad if you are looking for braking performance on track or "fast street driving".
