Bosch 67642 Original Equipment Replacement Electric Fuel Pump Review

I just received this "Bosch" fuel pump assembly from Amazon today. One day shipping for $3.95 with Amazon Prime is a great deal. As the other poster noted the assembly comes in Bosch packaging with a Bosch sticker stuck on it and "Walbro" name molded into the plastic top. Upon examining the original OE Chrysler part being replaced (which has the Chrysler emblem and part number molded into the plastic top) I discovered that the OE part also has the "Walbro" name molded into the top. So, it appears that both the OE assembly and Bosch assembly were manufactured by Walbro. The original and new assembly do look identical and the new assembly fit without problem other than the pain of having to drop the tank to replace it. Be sure to replace the fuel filter assembly at the same time you replace the pump assembly. This 1999 Town and Country van had over 150K miles on the original fuel pump assembly so the quality of the Walbro unit is quite good. I have read on other websites that some aftermarket brands of fuel pump assemblies for this model and others are DOA. With the time it takes to remove and re-install the tank to make the replacement I would not waste my time on aftermarket parts for this application that may not work out of the box or which fail shortly after installation.
