Walker 56044 Exhaust Resonator Assembly Review

It's almost two years old now and while there is surface rust at the welds, it will probably last a couple more years. For the money, I have no complaints. It won't last as long as OEM, not even close but it's half the cost too. And those of us with cars over 200,000 miles probably don't need an exhaust pipe to last 11 years anyway.
I do wish Walker would aluminize the pipe AFTER they weld. The welds come with rust already started even when new.

EDIT (8/8/13): Last week I was on the road and the back of the pipe fell completely off the flange. I paid a muffler shop to weld in a piece to get me home but I'm done with this garbage. I bought a used OEM pipe in great shape from CA for $99, my original lasted almost 11 years. The flanges get thinner and thinner on the originals until the gasket fails. I think the flanges are 400 series stainless on the OEM pipes as are the tubes. Anyway, I would never buy this mid pipe again, it's junk.

If you don't mind using the warranty every three years and the joy of cutting off the bolts to get this off, go ahead. The problem with replacing the subaru resonator is it often needs the donut gasket ($20) and the bolts ($26 or you can get crap bolts for $10). And the flange gasket ($4). So you're out those things and the time every three years. OK, if you need to get a car through inspection before selling it I guess. Moving it up to three stars for the lifetime warranty and it looks like you might be able to get a Walker authorized shop to do the work for free if you supply the gaskets and bolts. I've got one of these on my honda and the parts aren't as much, I might try to find a shop when it quits on me since OEM honda pipes are much harder to find used than Subaru.
