Beck Arnley 185-5009 New Distributor Review

The distributor bolted right into my 1992 Honda Accord and has been running fine now from July through early October 2013. I have not had nor do I expect any problems from it. The price was about 1/2 of what the local auto part stores wanted for the same unit too.

The first problem with the car was a bad (cracked) ignition coil. I replaced it, but the bad coil was shorted and evidently blew something in the distributor. I had previously, many years ago, replaced the electronic module in the distributor. (The module was replaced under warranty when the car was new and again about 5 years back when I did it.)

Since the car now has 220,000+ miles on it I figured it was simpler to change it all and not worry about it. The car starts much quicker, idles better, etc. with everything new too.
